Michel Herbelin set out to perfect the mechanical movements used at the time and finally created his own collection. He invented a number of technical and aesthetic innovations that are widely used in modern watchmaking



When quartz took the watchmaking industry by storm. Michel Herbelin was able to harness the extreme precision of the new technology and ally it with the aesthetics and finishing of traditional timepieces. In 1972 he handed over the running of the company to his son, Jean-Claude.Under Jean-Claude Herbelin, the family-run company now designs and makes watches and jewellery in its distinctive production unit, for export all over the world.
